1. Reading Requirement: Artists are expected to have thoroughly read the selected book.
2. Submission Limit: Each artist may submit only one cover design per book. However, artists are welcome to submit designs for multiple titles from the available selection.
3. Design Specifications: All cover designs must adhere to the specified dimensions for each book, including book cover, spine and back cover.
4. File Formats: Accepted file formats are PDF and JPG.
5. Submission Deadline: All entries must be submitted before December 6, 2024.
6. Winner Notification: Winning entries will be contacted by December 12, 2024. Winners will be awarded by a renowned jury and officially announced on December 18, 2024, via the email provided in the submission. Failure to acknowledge the winning notification within the specified timeframe may result in disqualification.
7. Usage Rights: YourSharjah reserves the right to print, publish, or post any submitted designs for both offline and online use across YourSharjah’s digital platforms and throughout the UAE.
8. Originality: All designs must be original creations by the submitting artist. Any use of copyrighted images or materials without permission will result in disqualification.
9. Use of AI Tools: All designs must be the original work of the submitting artist. Any use of AI tools should be minimal and may only support the artist’s own creative process. Artists are required to disclose any use of AI in their submissions. YourSharjah reserves the right to disqualify any design if AI usage compromises the originality or intent of the artwork.
10. Modification Rights: YourSharjah may request minor modifications to winning designs to meet print or publication standards.
11. No Revisions Post Submission: Once submitted, entries cannot be modified or replaced.
12. Prize Acceptance: By accepting the prize to be featured on the cover of the given book, winners agree to participate in any promotional activities related to the competition.
13. Agreement: By submitting a design, artists agree to these Terms & Conditions.
